Powerful LED ultraviolet technology finds urine you can’t see.

The sources of urine odours and stains are often difficult to locate. Many urine stains are invisible to the naked eye, yet certainly not to the nose.

urineFREE Urine Detector solves this problem. Using LED light technology, similar to that used by Police Forensic Officers, the pocket size torch will fluoresce dried urine in a darkened room, making it easy to identify and treat the right area.

Please note: not suitable for synthetic materials where urine may sink & accumulate at the bottom instead of being absorbed by surface fibres i.e. nylon, carpets and synthetic grass. The Urine Detector requires 3 x AAA batteries (included for AUS orders only due to shipping restrictions on international orders).

Do not shine in eyes as rays may be harmful.

  1. Start with the bathroom to see what the urine stain looks like under the urineFREE Urine Detector.
  2. Darken bathroom as much as possible.
  3. Check first around the base of the toilet bowl. Even if apparently clean, stains will always appear because normal cleaners do not remove crystals.
  4. Now you’re familiar with the stain, make your inspection of other areas of the house you suspect may be affected by urine stains and odours.

Not Quite a Miracle

I had hoped that Urine Free would solve all my problems but find that, although it removes stains and smells in soft furnishings and around doors, it doesn't prevent repeat offending, and there is one particular spot on carpet that remains problematic despite several applications., It seems that I will have to keep on using Urine Free indefinitely and I hesitate to do so because it is so expensive..

Hi Janette.

We are sorry to hear you had a negative experience with our product.

We know our products and we completely back them with a money back guarantee to work as directed or your money back. However when customers tell us it hasn't work we always ask a few questions...

1. How big is the area of carpet you are treating?
2. Do you know how old the stains are?
3. Did you spray or pour the urineFREE onto the carpet? Was is saturated? How much product did you use and how many times did you treat?
4. Did you use previous products before applying urineFREE. If yes, what?
5. After urineFREE had dried, did you remove the residue completely with clean water and a clean cloth?
6. How long did you leave the urineFREE on the carpet to break down the stain and the uric crystals?
7. What sort of urine is it? Cat, dog, human.

The number 1 reason urineFREE may not work is that previous products have been used before. Products containing chemicals and detergents will NOT remove urine. They remove the non-soluble components of urine, but leave behind the uric acid crystals that lodge into the fibres of the carpet. If chemicals or detergents have been used before then these products coat the uric acid crystals (like a wax sealer to a floor) making it very difficult for any product including biological products such as urineFREE to penetrate, even water won't remove it. These uric acid crystals will therefore remain, leaving the stain and the odour for good. As per our instructions we recommend removing as much of previous products as possible using a wet cloth to sponging out, rinsing the cloth in running water to wash away the previous products. Once you are sure that the previous products have been removed then you can apply urineFREE.

I recommend covering the area in question with glad wrap after you have saturated the area and leaving for up to 24hrs so urineFREE has dwell time to continue to break the crystals down aswell as the stain. As long as urineFREE is wet, it will continue to work to break down the crystals. As soon as urineFREE dries, it deactivates. Multiple treatments may be necessary to lift the stain completely from the carpet. You do need to clean the area with water and a clean cloth after each urineFREE treatment to prevent build up. After cleaning, the carpet needs to be left to air dry. If you can still smell urine once it's dry, you will need to treat again. Pouring urineFREE onto the stain often works well as there are many layers for urineFREE to penetrate with carpet and urineFREE needs to come into contact with all the uric crystals to break them down and destroy them.

Again we'll be happy to help because we and so many customers know our products work when used as directed. We hope to hear from you.

Fantastic product

My motor home had been invaded by mice over last winter when it was standing idle. Needless to say there was mouse urine everywhere. I sprayed urine free all over everything in the van. It worked, no more mouse urine smell!

Urine Free trial

Hi, I’ve tried your Urine Free. The smell is great, I’ve applied it to my carpet, but after several tries, I still can’t really get the urine smell out. Some things are just a bit too hard to shift I guess!

Faulty electric spray and strong baking soda smell

Your electric spray does not work. The UrineFree liquid when applied to carpet smells of baking soda. Not happy.

Hi Andrew.

I'm sorry to hear you have had a negative experience with our product.

Can i ask what is not working with the battery sprayer? Can you hear a noise and the liquid isn't being sucked up through the tube or can you hear no noise at all?

If you can't hear any noise, it may be that the batteries have been inserted the wrong way round. Please check that the batteries have been inserted one up and one down and please follow the metal cap on the inside of the battery compartment.

You can also try new batteries as sometimes the ones that is comes with could be flat.

In regards to the carpet smelling of baking soda, I'm not sure why this is as our product does not contain any baking soda and is made up of bacteria and enzymes.

Have you used baking soda in the past to try to clean the area before using urineFREE?

Have any other products or chemicals been used before urineFREE?

This is the number one reason why urineFREE doesn't work, when other chemicals have been used prior to using urineFREE.
The area needs to be cleaned with clean water and a clean cloth, and the previous product needs to be 'bled' out of the carpet by blotting.

If you are still having issues with the battery sprayer, please let me know as i am more than happy to send you out a replacement and fingers crossed we get to the bottom of where the baking soda smell is coming from.

Look forward to hearing back from you.
